The MITS project allows the use of the existing facilities of the Malaysia Co-operative Institute to be shared comprehensible and can be optimized by the various parties.

The MITS project allows the use of the existing facilities of the Malaysia Co-operative Institute to be shared comprehensible and can be optimized by the various parties. At the same time, this project also enables user to search for available facilities or applying for courses offered by CIM via online. Services are now not limited only to civil servants but are open for the public to enjoy the facilities offered by CIM

Enables library patrons to search and access ILMU’s catalogue collection from any web-enabled PC wherever they are using a web browser. Users can also perform online reservations for items that have been borrowed by others, view multimedia clippings and view, print and email documents and images linked to any bibliographic record, by leveraging on the latest browser technology to enhance productivity and efficiency. Web OPAC is linked to Amazon.com to loading the book cover and author review for the retrieved bibliographic record.

HOW TO APPLY

1. MANUAL APPLICATION

All applications must be made using the application form provided by CIM.

  • For members or staff of cooperative and interested parties, the completed application forms can be sent directly to the campus where the course is conducted.
  • For department staff and government agencies, each application must be through their respective departments or agencies.

      Accommodation facilities is preferred to participants who stay more than 40 kilometers from the residence to the course.

      Registration Fee and Off-Campus Accomodation facilities is subject to course/ program type

      Introduction

      Co-operative Institute of Malaysia(CIM) was established on the basis of to provide education, information, and training to the cooperatives and cooperators formally and informally. Consultation and Advisory Service is an informal education, applied by the CIM to co-operatives and cooperators.

      Consulting and Advisory Services is also a great way to approach the root cause for problems faced by the cooperative and to apply local elites to solve the problem based on the Co-operative Societies Act 1993, Regulations, Guidelines, Rules and other rules to fathom any problems experienced by cooperatives. A local elements can be applied to solve the problem in accordance with the Cooperative Societies Act 1993, Regulations, Guidelines and other rules available.

      The Consultation and Advisory Services approach is to assist the cooperative towards improvement in the management and administration system with the appropriate methods of cooperation in the current situation. In addition, Consultation Services and Advisory Services is one of the functions set out in the CIM Act and should be highlighted in line with the current developments and changes of the cooperative movement.

      Programs Offered

      Based on the current development with the cooperative movement,  there is a diversity of cooperative activities such as credit and banking, agriculture, property development, tourism, transportation, health, retail and more.

      In carrying out the above business objectives, cooperative may face obstacles and problems in order to realize the objectives of each activity. Therefore, the Co-operative Consultation Center offers advisory and consultancy services in the following areas:
