Introduction
The Cooperative Institute of Malaysia (CIM) started its foundation in Sabah in June 1997 and started its operations at the 3rd Floor, MCIS Building, No. 25 & 26, E Block, SEDCO Complex, Jalan Albert Kwok, Kota Kinabalu. At the end of July 2001, CIM Sabah Branch moved to the new office at Level 5, MAA Tower, Lorong 6 Api-Api 1, Kota Kinabalu.
The new rented campus offers better facilities with more conducive facilities for the use of training and education programs for co-operators in Sabah.
Functions
- Providing and conducting cooperative study programmes
- Publishing and disseminating books on cooperatives and related topics.
- Conduct researches and providing consultancy services to cooperatives.
Training Program
The establishment of the Sabah Zone is a positive move to further develop the role of the CIM as a leading cooperative training institution in Malaysia.
