Introduction

The Community Development Center was rebranded on December 5th, 2019. The goal of PPK is to

1. Encourage co-operative culture through understanding and benefits of co-operative to members, co-operative leaders, agencies and the general public.

2. Improve administrative and governance skills as well as specific consulting needs to the co-operative board.

3. PPK is responsible for implementing programs covering member awareness, co-operative development and rehabilitation of inactive co-operatives.

Function

1. Plan and implement programs related to co-operative culture to the co-operative movement and the general public.

2. Plan and conduct courses on and off campus related to the administration and governance of the co-operative.

3. Execute strategic cooperation programs with MEDAC, agendas and other ministries related to co-operative development.

4. Guiding co-operative through the REJU program.

5. Carry out joint venture programs with co-operatives, agencies and private sector based on request.

REJU Program

REJU program is a program to rehabilitate targeted co-operatives. PPK will identify targeted inactive cooperatives’ profiles through collaboration with the Co-operative Commission of Malaysia (SKM). PPK also plays a role in guiding reactivating inactive cooperatives.
