Credit Co-operatives serve to stabilize the global economy and played a vital role in Malaysian economic. There are a total of 10,087 registered co-operatives in Malaysia, with a total membership of more than 7 millions people. The purpose of this research is to identify outstanding entrepreneurial attitudes possessed by the Members of the Board of excellent credit co-operatives which are parallel to Muhammad p.b.u.h. as a pioneering entrepreneur. The method used in this study is a questionnaire survey using the instruments that were mainly developed based on a study by Paige (1999) entitled Enterpreneurs’ Perception of Success Inventory.
There are only 35 credit co-operatives which listed in the category of best 100 co-operatives by Co-operative Commission of Malaysia, which represented by a total number of 350 Credit Co-operative Board members. Variables tested were the phenomenon of credit co-operatives success as the dependent variable while the independent variables were the eight dimensions with an addition of Islamic financing product. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 21. Through correlation analysis test, the results found that there were significant correlations between the successful credit co-operatives with goal-setting, personality, motivation, knowledge and Islamic financing product. It makes way to promote Islamic financing product.
